I started out as a con-goer back in 2008. It mattered so much to me how accurate and realistic one person can go to look exactly like the character they are cosplaying. So I’d like to take this opportunity to feature some of my favorite Cosplayers, whom I’ve had such honor in meeting and befriending along the way.. -katz

K- Let us start from the beginning, shall we? What would you like to be called?
MS- mylene anne..^___^
K- Hellow mylene. Your interest in cosplay, how and when did it start?
MS- It started on Hataw Hanep Hero con 2008. me and my kuya cosplayed characters from Chrono Crusade there. my big brother influenced me a lot in this hobby. i enjoyed my first time cosplaying and i also won Best Child Cosplayer. My parents also supported us in this hobby so I have continued until now.XD
Azmaria – Chrono Crusade
K- Wow almost the same event and year with Zire too! Tell me, did you make your first costume back then? Or you had it tailored?
MS- My first costume for Azmaria (Chrono Crusade) was tailored by a family friend tailor and my mom helped and put details on it.
K- And do you prefer solo or group cosplays?
MS- I usually cosplay solo. Haven’t got the opportunity to cosplay with a group but I would love to if given a chance.^__^

K- Hmm, I shall kep that in mind. hehe now you’re giving me ideas! How much has cosplay taught you? Pros and Cons?
MS- It gave me confidence and i gained many friends. But cosplaying is a bit expensive, exhausting too..XD and time consuming. But all in all it is really fun..^_^
K- Have you cosplayed abroad as well? If yes, how can you compare it locally? If not, what could you have wished for?
MS- I still have not cosplayed abroad. but I want to attend AFA and cosplay conventions in Japan.
K- Ah we wish for the same thing darling! Cosplay aside, what do you do outside the hobby/community?
MS- I focus on my studies. But during my free time aside from cosplaying,I do sing a lot.XD Play psp, computer games, browse social sites and I also take modeling.^_^
K- ZOMG really? You’d be the cutest model I’ve ever seen! Based on your experience, how’s about a message to aspiring child-cosplayers out there?
MS- hmmm.. well we just have to enjoy this hobby. Learn things from it but we should focus more on our studies.^___^
K- True that! Now, please tell me something about yourself that no one knows. Like, what makes you YOU?
MS- hmmmm.. XD im mylene anne santos. I love cosplaying, singing, gaming, modeling. but all of these are just hobbies. I do not forget to focus more on my studies, which i am an honor student. And I dream to become a Stewardess or a Scientist one day..XD
One of the most likable feature about little Ms. Santos, she is well-loved by her family. Her big brother Michael, enjoys taking her pictures every event. She shows greater pride in her family and her love for studies while still young. This gives her more confidence and happiness to keep in mind that Cosplay is just a hobby, nothing more and nothing less. And I couldn’t have been more honored to feature you, my dear!
