I started out as a con-goer back in 2008. It mattered so much to me how accurate and realistic one person can go to look exactly like the character they are cosplaying. So I’d like to take this opportunity to feature some of my favorite Cosplayers, whom I’ve had such honor in meeting and befriending along the way.. -katz

CosFeature n#26: Cyril Lumboy.. aka Dolldelight

K -Let us start from the beginning, shall we? What would you liked to be called?
CL- Cyril is okay. 

K – Ribbons and laces. How did your passion for this hobby grow?
CL- I’ve always wanted to make my dresses and when I finally could, I couldn’t stop designing more and making more. 

K – Do you enjoy doing this solo or do you participate in group activities with people who share the same interest?
CL- Back in the Philippines, I have my friends whom I work with in doing Lolita-themed photoshoots.

K – I heard it’s almost your everyday wear. What can you say are Pros and Cons dressing out of the ordinary?
CL- Personally, I only dress Lolita if the weather is okay. I just couldn’t stand the heat. Still, my wardrobe consists of dresses and that’s what I usually wear.

K – Who inspires you as a Fashion Artist/ Stylist?
CL- Alexander McQueen and Betsey Johnson.

K – Describe your personal style.
CL- My style is Lolita in outfit and Gyaru in make-up. 

K- What are your top 3 fashion design trends?
CL- I don’t really follow trend but I like animal prints and lace. 

K – What fulfillment do u get out of being a fashion artist/stylist?
CL- It’s fun being able to make and wear your own dresses and headpieces. 

K – Based on your experience, how’s about a message to aspiring fashion artist/stylist out there who wants to excel the hobby?
CL- My advice would be to come up with your own style that would set you apart from the others.

K – Now, please tell me something about yourself that no one knows. Like, what makes you YOU?
CL- Haha, if I tell you that now, everybody would know! XD Kidding! Few people know that I used to be a hardcore gamer, Ragnarok Online, to be specific.
